Representing the Vietnamese collegiate community from various colleges across Southern California, Vietnamese Student Associations continue to strive towards their specific missions. UVSA provides a space for these organizations to collaborate through the Inter-Collegiate Council. Each member organization assigns 1-2 representatives to assist in the coordination of inter-collegiate events. Membership into the Inter-Collegiate Council is voted upon and approved with simple majority of existing council representatives in office.

MEET OUR ACTIVE MEMBERS!

Active members are organizations who have Inter-Collegiate Council Representatives with voting rights on the Council. Each member organization receives 1 vote on the Council regardless of the number of representatives assigned by the member organization. An active member with probation status is permitted to participate but not vote. Probation status is generally assigned to a new member and then upgraded to active member with a simple majority vote by current Council representatives.

HOW TO JOIN AS A MEMBER SCHOOL
Looking to join UVSA as a member school?! We're always looking for potential partnerships to grow our mission in serving the schools that make up our community. Becoming an official constituent school of the Union is a process primarily overseen by the IVP, IRC, and Inter-Collegiate Council (ICC). Before a formal vote takes place, prospective schools enter a minimum two-year observation period, during which they're observed as part of the union and supported as they grow.

At UVSA, we believe in mutual respect and shared purpose. We're looking for VSA organizations eager to grow, collaborate, and contribute back to our community. In return, member schools are granted a variety of benefits such as a complimentary booth at our annual Tết Festival, funding for ICC events, and direct access to a supportive network for school external/internal events!

For more information on how to get started, please contact
[email protected] with any questions!
