The priority of the VSA at UCR is rediscovering the Vietnamese roots including history, language, culture, and heritage.  Each of our events incorporates an aspect of our Vietnamese culture, whether it’s traditional or modern.  Recognizing the fact that most of our members were born and grew up here in the United States, therefore it is important for us to continue the efforts in trying to bridge the gap between our members and the Vietnamese culture.  More over, we strive to preserve and promote the Vietnamese culture and tradition to other communities.  Whether you are Vietnamese or not, VSA is here for everyone.
